General Insurance

Most insurance companies calculate risk differently therefore it makes sense to shop around. We offer advice and solutions for the following general insurance:

Car Insurance

It can be difficult making sure you receive the right coverage for you and your car. There are two main types of car insurance to choose from – comprehensive or third party fire and theft. There are also many add-ons and of course the dreaded excess.

Building Insurance

Building insurance covers damage to your property and the fixtures and fittings of your home. It can even cover garages, greenhouses, walls, swimming pools, driveways, gates and paths.

Home Contents Insurance

To avoid disputes with the insurer we recommend you calculate the value of your house contents accurately and keep receipts.

Insurance cover is provided for:

  • Fire (Fire, smoke, lightning, explosion, implosion, scorch damage etc.)
  • Natural hazards (Flooding, storm damage, hailstones, avalanche etc.)
  • Theft (burglary, robbery, simple theft in the home)
  • Water (Liquids from pipes and similar installations and attached equipment and apparatus or aquariums, water beds etc.).
  • Supplementary insurance can include glass breakage, freezer contents and luggage.

Third Party Liability Insurance

The policy covers the legal liability of the insured persons for damage or loss incurred to others caused by the insured person.

This can include:

  • Personal injury, i.e. death, injury or other damage to the health of persons
  • Property damage, i.e. destruction, damage or loss of property or death, injury or loss of animals
  • Supplementary Insurance covers for example the renting of horses, hunting, damage to borrowed vehicles with a maximum total weight of 3,500 kg, plus trailers, motorcycles and boats, etc.

Travel Insurance

Multi-trip insurance is ideal if you're a frequent traveller. Many people travel completely uninsured and chance huge losses or expenses should something go wrong. Those people that do take out holiday insurance often cover only a single holiday; but if you travel three or more times a year, you most likely can save money with a multi trip policy. A standard multi travel insurance policy will cover any number of trips during one year, as long as each trip does not exceed 31 days. Policies usually span Europe-only or Worldwide, depending upon your needs. Extra coverage for special holidays like skiing and other outdoor sports often can be included in your policy as well.

Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance

If you own property and are concerned that your family could not cover the mortgage costs if anything happened to you then it is worth looking at this insurance. The insurance company pay the premiums in the event of death or disability or unemployment. It is important to check the small print and to complete the application form precisely.
